Judaism cannot thrive in a vacuum; it is only in the context of a warm and vibrant Jewish community that Torah can find full expression. Since its founding, Meyerland Minyan has consistently strived to be an inviting Orthodox community that exemplifies Ahavat Yisrael. Visitors to the synagogue invariably remark on the welcoming attitude they experience here, the Shabbat meal invitations they receive from so many of our members, and the comraderie they see around them. These are the qualities that have influenced many of our regular visitors to join the Meyerland Minyan family.
Meyerland Minyan takes pride in being a community not just on Shabbat and holidays, but every day. From bringing meals to families with new babies, to hosting Sheva Brochas for newly married couples, to visiting sick community members, every member of the Minyan can find a way to be a meaningful part of another’s life.
