The luncheon is being sponsored by a generous grant from the following organizations: The Orthodox Union, Yeshiva University, and the RCA - Rabbinical Council of America, as their way of lending a helping hand to the hard hit Houston Jewish community.
Thank you to Rabbi Gelman of UOS for organizing this on behalf of all the shuls in Houston. Thank you as well to Malka Moskovitz and Jennifer Handy for volunteering to help coordinate it for us.
There is no charge for the meal, but we do ask that people please RSVP to Malka at rsvp@meyerlandminyan.org, so we can order the correct amount of food.
Work on the Eruv cannot be completed until electricity has been restored to the entire community.
This does not impact Rosh Hashana as carrying anything needed for use on that day is permitted on Yom Tov. It does, however, pose an issue for Shabbat and Yom Kippur.
The Eruv Crew will work as quickly as possible to restore the Eruv.
