Barbara and Richard Weisman:
Richard grew up in Corpus Christi and Barbara in Queens, NY before both moved to Houston in the early 70’s. They married in 1985 and shortly thereafter started their business, Advanced Pest Control. In the late 90’s they were very involved at Congregation Brith Shalom. While in high school, their son Aaron helped read Torah for the fledgling Meyerland Minyan. After Aaron left for yeshiva in Israel, the Weismans joined Meyerland Minyan and became heavily involved. Richard took on roles including facilities management, grant writing and reporting, treasurer, and Vice President. Barbara has been on the board since joining, serving on the programming committee and as Secretary.
Daniel Schlossberg:
Daniel grew up in The Woodlands and graduated from the University of Houston. He owned and operated a successful mortgage company that he put on hold in 2008 to pursue a Torah education in Jerusalem. After a life-changing year in Israel, Daniel married Sarah, whom he met at Meyerland Minyan shortly before leaving for Israel. A very active member of Meyerland Minyan and the Houston Jewish community, Daniel is instrumental in developing new programs to bring Jews together for Shabbat, learning, and mitzvahs. In addition to his involvement at the Minyan, Daniel has served on the TORCH board. Daniel and Sarah enjoy opening their home for Shabbat, regularly hosting over 20 people. Daniel is currently in the middle of a 2½ year Hilchos Shabbos course at Yeshiva Pirchei Shoshanim.
