About The Rabbi

Rabbi MoskovitzRabbi Gidon Moskovitz, is an passionate leader who works tirelessly to strengthen and inspire our community. Originally from Massachusetts and then New York, Rabbi Moskovitz has both a strong religious and secular education background. He went to Yeshiva elementary & high school, and continued on to advanced studies in post graduate yeshivas. He also attended Baruch College of the City University of New York, and graduated with a degree in Finance at the top of his class (Salutatorian 1999). He worked for some time for an investment firm in NY, Jennison Associates, as a supervisor of asset administration.  After which, he and his family, moved to Israel where he spent four years studying Torah in Jerusalem, producing various works on Halacha (Jewish law) and Jewish values.

Malka Moskovitz, the Rabbi’s wife, received her college degree from Thomas Edison College of New Jersey.  The Rebbitzen’s post Jewish high school education includes Bnos Rochel Teachers' Seminary of Jerusalem and Moreshet Institute, a Jewish outreach program of study for women. In Israel she worked for various outreach organizations and was the founder and director of the Ner Le'elef resource center, a library geared toward providing outreach workers around the world with the educational materials they need. She was also involved in adult education, focusing primarily on the subject of making marriage work.

Together, the Rabbi and Rebbetzin have helped strengthen Meyerland Minyan's foundation as an ideal community for Jewish learning and growth.
